If you substitute cake flour with grained almonds you get less calories. (And everyone is just more amazed about your master piece!) Great.

Why are you all talking about his accent? I love it and didn't know he had one. Besides, the recipe looks delicious but is the broiler (did I call it right?) the usual tool in the kitchen?

This looks delicious! How do you do the gelatin part (I believe you said "bloomed" gelatin)? I'm not familiar with that. Also, would that same ganache work with cheesecake?

Just like our (malaysian) layer cake…or in malaysian word known as kek lapis…the techniques just same…and yeah…it is a cake…

This isn't baumkuchen, it's a schichttorte. Baumkuchen is baked on a rotating dowel. They are similar in concept but different in appearance. When cut, a slice of real baumkuchen looks like a donut with many concentric rings. Schichttorte, like you made, is cut in wedges and shows flat layers.

Awesome method of layering! When I saw the thumbnail I wondered how you got the layers with those crispy tops/bottoms.

This looks like lapis legit, a traditional cake from Indonesia, except cake lapis has more layers 😀

I like watching your videos, and I the thing you make look amazing . BUT the measurements you have in this video are ways off. I've tried countless times to make sense of it but always end up with soupy mess.

  18. Popnode says:

I made it and the bater came out runny. Any suggestions?
